John F. Salow (he/him) is a founding member of Monroe Pride and Embrace Monroe. John is a graduate of Western Michigan University and Monroe County Community College where he studied Leadership, Communication, and Journalism. Creative writing, event planning, and pop culture studies are just some of his passions.

Nadine Meeker (she/her) is one of the founders of Monroe Pride, along with John Salow and Jason VanStone. She’s the current treasurer of Embrace Monroe. When she’s not working in animal rescue, she lives with her husband of 30+ years and a menagerie of pets.

Jason Van Stone (he/him) a local artist, and former curator of local Art Gallery, is the founding member of Monroe Pride and Embrace Monroe. Jason has been involved the local LGBTQ+ community and art communities. He has been Art Market planner in Monroe county and has shown art in Ann Arbor, Ypsilanti, Dundee , Monroe, Canton, Ida and even Salem, Massachusetts.
